The Basics:
I go by Jenn, and I live in San Diego County with my husband of 10 years and our chi-poo dog, Zoe.
History of Writing:
There were 2 moments in my life when I thought I could do this. The first was when I was in the 5th grade. We had an assignment to write a short story, mine won some competition that I don't remember and the teacher hung my story on the chalkboard for everyone to read. It was a shining moment, and I kick myself regularly for not saving it.
The other happened when I was in 9th grade, and I wrote a letter to the editor for our local newspaper. Just before then, three students from our middle school had committed suicide over bullying. I wrote this long article about criticism and why it is so important to accept everyone. All of a sudden friends and family were calling me saying how much they loved my letter.
The Writer I am today:
About five weeks ago I was reading an article on Associated Content, thinking to myself, I could do this! So I signed up and started doing just that. When I found Suite101 I got excited and the rest is history. I love to mix my subjects between health/infertility/pregnancy to entertainment and occasionally food/wine.
Other Interests:
I love to read and listen to audio books. I'm an artist sometimes and design jewelry when I feel a need for it. I used to sell it on Etsy and Artfire, but not so much anymore. I'm a big TV watcher, but usually only sitcoms or drama occasionally. I can't stand reality shows.
